This figure has folded arms and simplified facial features inspired by ancient Cycladic art. The sculpture is a response to how I sometimes feel "unplugged" because of my multiple sclerosis. My nerves are not transmitting a full signal to and from my brain. The folded arms and calm face is meant to evoke a feeling of peaceful meditation, knowing that I can rise above this.
